About Got It Covered and us
Got It Covered is a planning tool that helps families share the day-to-day plan for their children. It is run by [Your legal name or company name], [Postal address for legal notices].
Private alpha
Got It Covered is in a private alpha. Features will change, some things may not work as expected and the service may occasionally be unavailable. Keep your own copy of anything critical, such as medical details or legal arrangements.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over and live in the UK to create an account.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away at [privacy@your-domain] if you think someone else has accessed it.
Family spaces and sharing
- A family space holds the plan and information for a group of children. You can belong to more than one.
- Parents can view and change everything in their family space. Other adults they invite can view it only.
- Only invite people you trust. Anyone in a family space can see what is in it.
- Only add information about other people, including the other parent and the children, that helps with the children's care and that you are entitled to share.
Your information
What you add to Got It Covered stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can run the service for you and the people in your family spaces. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle it.
What Got It Covered is not
- It is not a legal record, and it does not replace a court order, a parenting plan or legal advice. Changes agreed in Got It Covered do not change any legal arrangement.
- It is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 999.
- It is a planning aid. Always check important details, such as medication, pickups and school closures, with the people and organisations involved.
Using Got It Covered fairly
Please do not use Got It Covered to harass, threaten or monitor anyone; to add anything unlawful or anything you don't have the right to share; or to try to access another family's space, break the service or copy it. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Price and paid plans
Got It Covered is free during the private alpha. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and you will only be charged if you choose a plan.
- A plan belongs to a family space and covers everyone in it. Any parent in the family can take it out; the person who pays can manage or cancel it.
- Plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. The price is shown before you pay and on your receipts.
- You can cancel at any time from Your account. The plan stays on until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If you change your mind within 14 days of first paying, tell us and we will refund you in full.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change, and you can cancel before it applies.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
Ending your use
You can stop using Got It Covered at any time and delete your account from Your account. If you are the only parent in a family space, deleting your account deletes that family space too. If other parents remain, the family space carries on without you.
We may end the service, or your access, with reasonable notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms. If we close the service, we will give you a way to take a copy of your information first.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide Got It Covered with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
Because Got It Covered is a planning aid, we are not responsible for losses caused by relying on information without checking it, for decisions made by people in your family space, or for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Got It Covered develops. If a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
